Work Experience
Lukas is our new Certified Pedorthist. In 2021, he completed his studies at Western University, earning an Honors Specialization in Kinesiology.To deepen his knowledge in lower limb care, Lukas successfully completed the Western Pedorthic program and achieved certification as a Pedorthist in 2022.
Through his clinical experience working alongside orthopedic surgeons and chiropodists, he has seen and treated an array of different conditions such as plantar fasciitis, bunions, posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, Achilles tendinitis, charcot foot, and many more. With his experience working in an orthotic manufacturing lab, Lukas has the hands-on skills needed to create high quality custom-made orthotics suitable for every patients' need. As a Certified Pedorthist, he has the ability to create a comprehensive treatment plan with the use of custom foot orthotics and orthopedic shoe and shoe modification recommendations.
In the fall of 2023, Lukas began the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute of Education at UHN. By entering this 3 year advanced diploma program, Lukas is able to further his education in subjects such as Anatomy, Biomechanics, Podiatric Medicine, Dermatology, Pharmacology, Soft Tissue Surgery, Sports Medicine, and more. This program has advanced his Pedorthist skill set and provided him with new perspectives on different ways in which he can help his patients.
